Payments for Nook gotcha down? Unable to afford that awesome piece of furniture? Just plain wanna make a little bit of extra cash?

Financial aid has arrived! In this article, I, Lula, financial Guru (Ok, not quite “Guru”, but just pretend, ok?) will name some tips for quick cash.

Red Rock:
Each day, a random rock in your town will be the “Red Rock”. The Red Rock is a rock that turns red when you hit it with a shovel, and bells come out.  My strategy is, dig a two holes behind the rock, so they form a triangle. Place yourself to where your back hits the small space in between the holes, and hit the rock as many times as possible. If the rock doesn’t turn red, repeat the steps on a different rock.

Trees:
Shake trees. Sometimes bees will come out, sometimes furniture, other times bells, but usually nothing at all.

Fishing:
Buy a fishing rod, and fish in the river. Cast when you see a dark shadow in the water, and reel in when the fish bites your bait and the bobber goes underwater. Some fish have different bite lengths, though; some allow half a minute for you to reel them in, but others allow only one or two seconds. The selling price of fish ranges from 120-15,000.

Bugs:
Buy a bug net, and look around your town for any creepy-crawlies. If you find one, creep up on it, and slam your bug net on it. Most sell for 80-300 bells.

Clean Out Your Basement:
If you’re like me, you walk into your house, head downstairs, deposit all your findings from the day, and walk back up to your house. Well, clean our your basement! You’ll be surprised at how much all of your stuff sells for.
